  Projects

At KNDETL, we have always embraced a challenge.
It is this spirit of daring to go where others fear to travel that has led us to take on a number of testing and taxing projects.
The HBJ Pipeline is a case in point.
The task involved the completion of cross-river geotechnical investigations simultaneously at 22 different locations all within a time span of 4 months !
Among the various odds we had to encounter were dacoit threats
in the Chambal Valley, yet our engineers pressed on undeterred
to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe .
Another challenging project involved installation of 1500 mm dia piles upto a depth of nearly 60 metres in the Brahmaputra river.
A challenge presented itself again at Saharsa on the River Kosi where ten transmission towers had to be erected. The project presented a logistical nightmare because of a bend in the river, but we did not let that discourage us.
We are happy to say that KNDETL completed the task in one single season.
Work at TISCO's Blast Furnace presented new demands when we had to install large diameter piles through slag . Here too, we completed the project in a record 7 months.
A bridge across the River Karnali in Nepal saw KNDETL battle adverse weather conditions and complete a tough job ahead of schedule , beating foreign competition in order to do so.
